Shooting
Its a party now!
Last night was a friends birthday, and what better place then a photo studio to have a party. He goes by the name Corey Wendell! "Happy Birthday Buddy." Let see, there was cake, cameras, models and drinks. Lots of drinks. Not that I would partake in such activities. I spent most of my time doing BTS (behind the scenes) capturing. #BTS

A small slice of Havana
I got the opportunity to shoot with a couple models over the weekend prior to their fashion show at Havana Club located in Buckhead (Atlanta,GA). It's always fun to meet new faces and bump into old friends. The turn out brought new opportunities and the location offered unique shoots to be taken. I definitely had a great time and I'm sure other did too. Here are a couple images from the other night.

High fives, good drinks, memory cards and cameras!
We hit one of the most unique spots in Atlanta. Apache Cafe! Myself and several other photographers, models, painters, sketchers and the like met up for a classic night of artistry. Just in case you aren't aware I can't draw.....at all......so I stuck with the camera, lenses and lighting. I had the pleasure of working with Kelli Rea hopefully we can bring more to the table in the near future. I will share some other awesome images and models from this night soon.

Helping Hands
A couple days ago a fellow photographer, Shoccara Marcus asked if I could assist her with a lighting setup. Well today is that day. She will be shooting some amazing dance students. Some photographers don't wish to ever be anyones assistant. "We work very definitely." Some days she's my assistant and other days I am hers. I share this relationship with other photographers as well. Collectively we all become stronger as we learn from each other.

What a great studio shoot!
Myself, Thomas Colvin and Lisi Socute arrived at the 1So Studios owned by Leonard Herring Of LifeEssence Photography. Waiting inside was Priness Coleman our Make-Up Artist and Jessica Goodwin the Stylist. After Lisi got dolled up with and clothing and make-up we got to work. She was a great model to work with and together we call produced beautiful imagery. Check out some of the behind the scenes shots I captured. Edited images will be up soon.
Results on the SB-910
A couple days ago I told you I purchased a new Nikon SB-910, and I don't know why I waited....well know I really don't know why I waited. I used the flash to shoot a wedding (Yes I do those too! www.bdphotography.net ) It was great. I will be buying another one in the near future.
A couple of the local tog getting together!
So last night a fellow photographer invited me to the studio to get some new work in. Its always a blast to hang out with good friends, especially my photographer friends. (We understand ever when no one else does!) Today should be fun as always. I will post some images of the work we knock out.
Why was I waiting...
I really didn't have an excuse, but for some reason I didn't buy it until today. I've been wanting a new Nikon SB-910 flash for some time now. I had no intentions on buying one today but I managed to stop at my favorite photography and video location in Atlanta "Showcase." I gently lowered my head and handed over my American Express. If your ever in the area stop by and tell them I told you to come by.
Juno Beach
On a recent trip to Florida, I drove down A1A in the city of Juno Beach. They have an awesome pier that most go to fish from. I have other plans in mind. I see a great future project brewing.
